turn off your router and modem for a full 60s at the same time, and to be extra safe, just before turning them off open your command prompt (start, run, “cmd.exe” or search if you have win7) and enter “ipconfig /release”, this will force a full reset

it’s been happening since i came to oswego. i believe up here we had time warner. i have an ethernet cable that’s hooked up to a modem thing that’s hooked up to you know the schools internal core. and i use firefox as well.

Yeah, that’s what I was kinda getting at. If you have a cable modem, apparently it won’t work with several people in your area using the internet simultaneously, even if they aren’t using your modem.
